Carsten Schmider (born 1972) headed the Medicity Finance division of Medicity Network AG, a subsidiary of NAV Wirtschaftsdienst (a company of the Virchow-Bund), from May 2000 to May 2001. In this position, Schmider developed the corporate concept of stock market information services on the Internet and coordinated the company’s activities in the financial journalism segment. After the reintegration of the company into NAV, Schmider became self-employed and was co-founder and co-editor of the Frankfurt Finance Newsletter. As the leading stock market expert at FFN, he was also responsible for the stock analysis “Aktie im Fokus” and the large monthly stock market outlook/review
until October 2003.

As a freelance author and columnist, he wrote for years for WPV-Verlag, a business magazine for doctors, and was in charge of the magazine’s stock market pages. The humanities graduate (Magister) with decades of stock market experience knows the international securities business in detail. In addition to his work as a business editor and columnist, he focused primarily on financial portfolio consulting and research.
